S1mple was awarded ESL’s CS:GO Player of the Decade title

Oleksandr ‘s1mple‘ Kostyliev has been honored as the decade’s best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player after a stellar career in the game. Seventy-five legendary CS:GO players met in private to decide who should get this prize, and s1mple was the overwhelming favorite. For a long time now, s1mple has been one of the best players in the world, competing at the highest level and never giving up until he is recognized as the best.

He has been a professional gamer for ten years, has won about $2 million, and is widely recognized as the best CS:GO player in the world. For almost six years, s1mple and Natus Vincere have been setting the standard for CS:GO by winning tournament after tournament. This isn’t the only prize he’s won, though; he also won an Esports Award and was named Player of the Year.

That s1mple is the finest player to participate over the last decade may be the icing on the cake for him.

IEM Rio Major’s Natus Vincere was handed a devastating blow as FURIA eliminated them from the tournament. It was a devastating blow to the squad, which many had predicted would eventually triumph. Natus Vincere, however, eventually dropped out of the competition and finished sixth. Even though this was a tragic outcome, s1mple was still able to get his prize and was thankful for it.

Even upon accepting the honor, he maintained his modest demeanor, saying:

“That game ended up being a turning point in my life. The only thing I want to do is play.

According to reports, s1mple was voted as one of the top 13 CS:GO players. He was closely followed by dev1ce, f0rest, karrigan, FalleN, and coldzera. Evidently, this list was compiled taking into account the above players’ contributions to the CS:GO community, the esports sector as a whole, their skill level, and their consistency in-game. As strange as it may seem, s1mple didn’t win his first Major until the PGL Stockholm Major in 2021, with Natus Vincere.

When he was only sixteen years old, s1mple’s competitive adventure begun, and it was in 2014 that he received his big break. After crushing Fnatic at DreamHack Winter, s1mple shot to international stardom and became a sought-after player in the competitive Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene. Before joining Team Liquid in 2016, he played for a few minor teams. He’s flown the Na’Vi flag ever since, and he’s to the organisation what peanut butter is to jelly.

The Ukrainian superstar has come a long way, but his perseverance and dedication have now paid off with this very important accolade. S1mple has had a very remarkable rise through the ranks to earn the title of Best CS:GO Player of the Decade.
