After Ninjas in Pyjamas dismal performance in the CS:GO Major, Hampus has set some lofty ambitions for the team

Rifler hampus remarked today that the Ninjas in Pyjamas need to do well in the OKBET CS:GO BLAST Premier Fall Final in Copenhagen, Denmark, if they want to qualify for the $1 million BLAST Premier World Final in December.

NiP are seeking for the polar opposite of what they experienced at the second Valve-sponsored CS:GO tournament of the year, the IEM Rio Major, which was held in November. The Ninjas qualified for the Major with a new in-game commander in Aleksib, but they went 0-3. They were eliminated from the tournament before they ever got to Brazil.

To qualify for the World Final in Abu Dhabi, I believe I was told, “We have to win.” I don’t know for sure, but I guess top two at least, so that’s sorta the objective,” hampus told HLTV during the BLAST Premier Fall Final. “But the point isn’t to win or even place, the point is simply to play excellent Counter-Strike and have fun, since we didn’t have fun at the Major, right? Our purpose here at now is just amusing. Also, yesterday wasn’t the funniest, but today had a lot of laughs.
