A speculations on social media about the DRX League lineup, and they addressed them
Although DRX‘s miraculous journey to the 2022 League of Legends World Championship is well-known throughout the community, the reigning Summoner’s Cup champions have had a rough offseason so far. For instance, the organization had to issue a statement to dispel suspicions regarding their 2022 roster that had been circulating on social media.

Many fans have been wondering about the future of the team and its most beloved players, such as the famed Korean mid laner Doinb, for the previous day. As an incentive for breakthrough midlane star Zeka to re-sign with the club, DRX allegedly sought to recruit superstar jungler Kanavi, the 25-year-old veteran claimed on his broadcast.
Zeka opted to try free agency after DRX failed to re-sign Kanavi for the next year. As a reaction, the team issued a statement assuring supporters that they “made it a priority to extend the contracts with the five existing players” and adding that they never recommended adding an outside player to the present squad during contract negotiations.

As their contracts concluded after Worlds, all of DRX’s players became free agents at the start of the worldwide offseason period, and various members of the squad started signing with other clubs. Legendary AD carry Deft joined with DWG KIA, while Hanwha Life Esports added Kingen and Zeka.

Many supporters were let down since they had hoped their beloved Cinderella team would continue their success into 2023. There are just five players on the 2022 roster, and three of them have already left, so DRX will have to start again in their search for the lightning they caught in a bottle this past October.
Even if DRX never reaches the top of League again, they may look back on their historic run and be pleased with what they accomplished.
